JAMMU, May 3: Police authorities today ordered suspension of three police officials of Gandhi Nagar police station including SHO Inspector Arun Jamwal and handed over the order to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu but the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu said it has not received any order so far.
DIG Jammu-Kathua range Shakeel Beig told the Excelsior that police has issued the suspension order of three police officials including the SHO and sent it to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
He claimed that the Bar Association has objected to draft of the order.
However, Bar Association president, Mohinder Bhardwaj said they have not received any suspension order so far.
“Unless we receive the suspension order, we can’t call off the strike,” he added.
The Bar Association has given call for Jammu bandh on May 5.
Sources said since the Divisional Commissioner was mediating between police authorities and the Bar Association, he was given the suspension order of three police officials.
