Police foils attempt of liquor smuggling to Katra

KATRA, Oct 8:   Police today foiled an attempt of liquor smuggling to holy town Katra and arrested the accused besides recovering 128 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A Police team headed by Sub Inspector Maninder Singh, I/C PP Kakryal,  laid a special naka near Jhajjar Nallah on Manthal Road and intercepted the accused, who was on way to Katra. During  checking of the accused,  Police team recovered  128 Poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor from his  possession.
Police arrested the accused, identified as  Jameer Singh of Sawlakote,  Tehsil Arnas and seized the recovered liquor besides registering a case in this connection at Katra Police Station.
