JAMMU, Oct 30: In an effort to ensure a peaceful and secure Diwali celebrations, the Jammu Police conducted a comprehensive area domination drive across Gandhi Nagar.
The operation aimed to deter criminal activities, maintain law and order, and instill a sense of security among the residents.
Police personnel were deployed in large numbers to conduct extensive patrolling in residential areas, commercial hubs, and public spaces, SP South Ajay Sharma said.
He said multiple checkpoints were established to screen vehicles and individuals for suspicious activities.
Police officers were seen on foot patrols to engage with the community and address any concerns.
To further enhance the festive spirit and community bonding, the Jammu Police Band presented a captivating performance.
The melodious tunes of the band filled the air, delighting the residents and creating a joyful atmosphere.
Later, the SP South on behalf of SSP Jammu conveyed the Deepawali good wishes to the citizens of Jammu south.
The Jammu Police remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all citizens, he said.
