JAMMU, Oct 30: Shaurya International School (SIS) celebrated its Annual Sports and Founders’ Day 2024, an event marked by energy and pride. Sandeep Kumar Mehta, SSP of the Special Crime Wing Jammu, joined Trustees Uma Gupta and Kusum Gupta, Chairman Harinder Mahajan, Vice Chairman Sahil Mahajan and School Directors Pooja Mahajan and Miho Mahajan to honour the occasion.
The event opened with a floral tribute to the school’s founders, Late Janak Raj Gupta and Late Sneh Gupta, reflecting on their commitment to academic excellence and physical wellness. Scholarships were awarded to outstanding students, highlighting the school’s support for academic success.
A ceremonial lighting of the sports flame by the School Sports Council and the release of balloons set a celebratory tone followed by a disciplined march-past of students in house colours, symbolizing unity and school pride. Athletic events and team competitions showcased students’ skills and sportsmanship, concluding with an award ceremony to recognize their achievements.
Sandeep Mehta praised the school’s commitment to excellence, while Chairman Harinder Mahajan emphasized the founders’ vision. Vice Chairman Sahil Mahajan and Principal Dr Rajesh Gandral expressed pride in the students’ well-rounded growth, reaffirming the institution’s dedication to academic and athletic success.
