Police books 87 violators

SAMBA, July 29: Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), Samba Police today in a joint drive with district civil administration booked 87 persons across the district Samba and imposed a fine amounting to Rs 43,500 on them.
In order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that the people of District Samba follow COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), the various joint teams of Samba Police and District Civil Administration booked 87 persons for not wearing face masks, not following social distancing norms and for spitting in public places.
Samba police has once again appealed to citizens of Samba district to always wear a face mask, avoid unnecessary travel to crowded places, be strict to allowed social gatherings and always follow COVID Appropriate Behavior as these are the key preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. People are further advised to maintain social distancing & personal hygiene.
