SAMBA, Dec 3: Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana arrested one drug peddler and recovered six grams of heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
Police said a team of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana conducted patrolling under supervision of Inspector, Rajesh Sharma, SHO, NiharRanjan, SDPO Bari Brahmana in Tellibasti area of Bari Brahmana. During patrolling ASI YashPaul got suspicious on one person and on his frisking six grams of Heroine (Chitta) like substance was recovered from his possession.
On questioning he disclosed his name as Rajan Yadav, son of Subash Yadav of Mehrajpur district, Deveria at present Ward No. 6 Rajiv Colony, Bari Brahmana.
The accused was arrested and contraband item was also seized. The whole operation was under the close supervision of SSP Samba, Rajesh Sharma. In this regard a case FIR No. 283/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at PS Bari-Brahmana. Further investigation is going on.
