SAMBA, Dec 14: A police party of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana conducted patrolling under supervision of Inspector, Rajesh Sharma, SHO and Nihar Ranjan, SDPO, Bari Brahmana in Telli Basti area.
During patrolling near Peer Baba, Baribrahmana ASI, Yash Paul got suspicious on one person and on his frisking four grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance recovered from his possession. On questioning he disclosed his name Rakesh Sharma, son of Ram Lal of Majoor tehsil, Chowki Choura district Jammu.
The accused was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. The whole operation was under the close supervision of SSP Samba, Rajesh Sharma. In this regard case FIR No. 289/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at PS Bari-Brahmana. Further investigation is going on.
