SAMBA, Oct 1: Samba police has apprehended three gamblers red-handed under Gambling Act in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money to the tune of Rs 3100.00 along with playing cards, three mobile phones and cash from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a police team comprising of SHO Police Station, Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma, PSI, Mohammad Aslam and PSI, Nirmal Singh under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary raided the gambling spot near Smailpur Bari Brahmana and apprehended three gamblers while gambling along with stake money of Rs 3100.00, playing cards, three Mobile Phones and cash.
The apprehended gamblers have been identified as Rajinder Singh son of Subash Singh of Bari Brahmama district Samba, Tarsem Singh, son of Mohinder Singh of RS Pura district Jammu and Tarsem Lal son of Ghardari Lal of Bari Brahmana district Samba.
Legal action under section 13 Gambling Act has been taken by police against the gamblers.
