RAJOURI, Nov 30: A guest from Pak occupied Kashmir, who had arrived here along with his two brothers, died in the house of his relative in Rajouri town last night.
He was identified as 62-year-old, Maqsood Hussain, son of Mohd Munshi, resident of village Islampur Dina, district Jehlum, PoK. He had entered into this side of the LoC via Chakkan-da- Bagh in Poonch along with his two brothers- Matloob Hussain and Habib-ur-Rehman, on October 29, 2018.

Official sources said that Maqsood had come here to meet his relatives in the house of Abbas Ali, son of Missab Ali, resident of Gujjar Mandi in Rajouri town. He was supposed to return home in PoK on November 26, 2018 but had prolonged his stay for ten more days on special request for undergoing medical treatment here. He had developed chest pain about two weeks ago and later had to operate upon in Narayana Hospital at Katra for heart problem. His two veins were said to be blocked. After operation he had come back to Rajouri hardly three days ago.
Last night, he developed severe pain in the chest and was shifted to District Hospital Rajouri where he breathed his last during early hours today. The matter was then taken up with the District Administration Rajouri by his relatives here in the morning. They contacted DC Poonch who later developed contact with authorities in PoK on hot line and today the dead body of the deceased was sent back to his home village in Jehlum.
The Indian authorities from District Administration Poonch in presence of security agencies handed over the dead body to the Pak authorities at Chakkan- da- Bagh LoC point at around 1 pm. The two brothers of the deceased and relatives from Rajouri also accompanied. Some family members from Islampur (Jehlum) had also arrived there at the LoC point to receive the body.
Maj Vignesh Kumar from 15 MLI ( Indian Army), Maj Ishtiaq ( Pak Army), Ist Class Magistrate Akhtar Abbas from Poonch, DySP Poonch Mohd Abbas, Tehsildar Hajira (POK)- Mohd Ikhlaq Khan besides two doctors and a few police officers from both the sides were also present on the occasion. After performing legal formalities, the body packed in a coffin was handed over to the Pak authorities.
