JAMMU, Oct 27: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has settled two accidental claims under Rakshak Plus Scheme of the Bank.
Yatender Kumar, (DGM) Circle Head of PNB, Jammu Circle, handed over a cheque of Rs 30 lakh monetary compensation to nominee Sarfi Devi, mother of the Martyr Parveen Singh in a simple ceremony held at Branch office, Hiranagar in Kathua district. The Martyr Parveen Singh (Riflemen) of 22th Task Force was maintaining his salary account under PNB Rakshak Plus Scheme with PNB Hiranagar. He expired on March 26, 2021.
Another cheque of Rs 30 lakh was handed over as monetary compensation to nominee Kamlesh Devi, mother of Martyr Parbhat Singh, in Branch office, Samba. Late Parbhat Singh (Sepoy) of 17th Dogra Regiment was also maintaining his salary account under PNB Rakshak Plus Scheme with PNB Samba. He expired on March 14, 2021.
Briefing about the scheme, Yatender Kumar informed that the PNB Rakshak Plus Scheme is for salary account holders of armed forces of the Nation. Under the Scheme, the Bank provides personal accidental death/permanent disablement insurance upto Rs 30 lakh and air accident (death) cover of Rs 1 crore along with other features.
