Jammu, June 28 : Mohd Latif Mir, Dy General Manager-Circle Head, Punjab National Bank  J&K today handed over permits to NRI Yatris from Nepal for conducting Shri Amarnathji Yatra. Talking to the Yatris, Mr Mir briefed the Yatris regarding the banks initiative to support the NRI Yatris wherein the bank is providing Yatra permits to the NRI’s based on their email to the bank. He announced that the bank has as on date crossed registration of one lakh Shri Amarnathji Yatris 2014 through its 301 designated PNB branches at pan India level. The bank as on date has registered 93 NRIs for the Yatra.
PNB is the only bank to register NRIs for Shri Amarnathji Yatra and this was the second time PNB had offered its customized services to the NRI Yatris. Under the tie up with Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, to register for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2014, an NRI pilgrim had to send scanned copies of the Yatra Application Form, CHC, Fee receipt to Lieut(IN) Neeraj Kumar Anand, Punjab National Bank, Circle Office, Jammu, at the email address: nkanand@pnb.co.in. The same were processed & Yatris photographs were got printed by the bank & Yatra Permits were got made from designated branches of J&K at Rehari, Katra & Reasi. Yatris were forwarded scanned copies of the Yatra permits along with the option to collect the YPFs from Jammu or Srinagar.
