SRINAGAR, Feb 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today that it was Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, who during his posting in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) had predicted India becoming 5 trillion economy.
Subrahmanyam was sitting on front row of the SKICC Srinagar when the Prime Minister made the remarks.
Modi said Subrahmanyam first worked with Dr Manmohan Singh in the PMO and then with him. He had then predicted that India will be 5 trillion economy and today, “we are close to realizing this dream’’.
It may be mentioned here that Subrahmanyam after his posting in the PMO was working as Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Chhattisgarh before he was shifted to Jammu and Kashmir as the Chief Secretary on June 20, 2018 after imposition of Governor’s rule in the State.
