Plus 2 Lecturers highlight demands

UDHAMPUR, Oct 11:  The monthly meeting of  District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held, here today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, district president of the Forum.
In the largely attended meeting, the participants had a threadbare discussion on the various problems and issues pertaining to the +2 Cadre. The speakers expressed concern over the  large number of vacancies of different teaching and non teaching cadres, especially in schools falling in remote and farflung areas. They demanded filling up of the vacancies by DPC and through PSC under fast track direct recruitment to regulate the teaching learning process in the schools in a proper manner. They also demanded enhancement in the grade pay of Principals and declaration of their post as non vacational, removal of pay anomaly of lecturers in Physical Education, Running Pattern in favour of +2 cadre, formulation and implementation of rational Transfer Policy and regularisation of all Joint Directors, Chief Education Officers, Principals and lecturers serving in the Incharge capacity in the School Education Department.
Speaking on the occasion,  Ashok Sharma urged the Government to take urgent steps to post teaching and non teaching staff in the schools facing shortage of staff.   He also demanded enhancement in the remuneration in the rates of supervisory and evaluation duties of JKBOSE, holding of various examinations in time, clearance of bills of the Practical Examiners, appointment of Superintendents and Dy  Superintendents under norms and on the rotational basis.
Prominent among others,  who addressed the meeting,  included Pawan Abrol, Mohan Lal Sharma,  Ram Murti, Luxmi Kant, Ravi Kanchan, Janak Singh, Joginder Kumar, Bishan Sharma, Prakash Singh, Karnail Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Pawan Kumar and others.
