UDHAMPUR, May 14: The monthly meeting of the district Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum, was held here under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, District president of the Forum, for highlighting various issues and demands of the cadre.
The Forum resented that the Assured Career Progression (ACP) Scheme/benefit of Running Pattern has not been implemented for the lecturers and officers of the Plus 2 Cadre despite assurance by the Government.
The meet urged the Minister for School Education to intervene into the matter and get this benefit extended to the Plus 2 Cadre. The members also demanded that the orders of regularisation of Incharge Officers of the School Education Department be issued at the earliest. They also demanded rationalisation of staff in schools.
The Forum observed that decision by Director School Education Jammu for publishing the photographs of meritorious candidates of HSP-11 of Govt schools in the newspaper and appreciating their Principals and teachers will boost the morale of the students as well as their teachers and Principals and motivate them to work harder to achieve more glorious results.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Sharma demanded that all the demands projected by them should be addressed by the Government. He also demanded Non vacational status to the Principals, restoration of 40 percent promotional quota of Plus 2 Lecturers for Higher Education Department etc.
Among those who addressed the meeting, included Arunesh Kumar, Verinder Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Ram Murti, Veena Rani and others.
