JAMMU, May 7: A delegation of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum, led by its president, Deepak Sharma, called on Minister for Education, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali at his official residence and apprised him about the working of Forum and focused upon the core issues pertaining to Plus 2 cadre including grant of sanction of time-bound promotion.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the delegation and suggested to work collectively as a team in unison for the betterment of department in general and teaching learning process in particular and also sought Forum’s suggestions and feedback in this regard. He proposed to organize Mela to have the feedback to streamline the transfer policy and other related issues. He assured the delegation to solve all their issues including time bound promotion.
The delegation comprised of N S Jamwal, Anil Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Narinder Sharma, Dr Ashok, Jyoti Prakash Shastri and Romesh Kumar.
Earlier monthly meeting of the Forum was also held at its head office to discuss the issues confronting the cadre. Main focus was given on expediting the process of regularization of all incharge incumbents, issuance of formal order for exemption of newly appointed Lecturers from SRO 202 as per Cabinet decision, fixation of induction quota into KAS in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers, revival of 40 percent college quota, restoration of non-vacational status to Principals and enhancement of pay and regularization of Physical Education Lecturers and removal of their pay disparity.
