Plus- 2 Incharge Lecturers demand regularization

JAMMU, Jan 21: Plus- 2 Incharge Lecturers have demanded regularization of the services of In-charge officers for efficient management of human resources in School Education Department.
The demand was highlighted during a meeting of In-charge Lecturers, held under the chairmanship of Arvind Khajuria and attended by a good number of representatives from various districts of Jammu Division and a few from Kashmir Division.
In the meeting, various points came under discussion and all the participants unanimously pledged to gear up their efforts for the betterment of the education system in general and resolution of the problems of employees in particular.
Pointing out that the core essential in the New Education Policy lies in the effective management of manpower working in the department, the participants stressed for planning of the workforce and the consistency of the avenues to improve self esteem of the individuals which invariably affects the culture of the working system.
“In an organisation like School Education Department, the workforce needs to be tackled in context of both external and internal environment for discharging the responsibilities. So far as internal environment of the department is concerned, one of the key issues is the process of addressing the problems of its employees in terms of promotion and regularization of their services in a time bound manner,” they said, adding that at present around 4500 posts of vacancies in terms of Principals, ZEOs, Lecturers and Headmasters are lying vacant in the department.
