SAMBA, Aug 10: The All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum, district Samba unit, convened a meeting under the leadership of Lok Sevak, district president of the Forum and discussed the recent transfer orders issued by the Education Department, which rendered thousands of the students without subject lecturers in their respective schools.
The meet explained that in Samba, a number of lecturers have been transferred against the post of other subject. Giving example, Lok Sevak said that in GHSS Samba, three lecturers of subject Botany, Computer Science and Hindi were transferred but the replacement of   Botany lecturer was made by Mathematics Lecturer and Computer Science by Physics whereas these subject lectures were already available in the school and the post of Hindi Lecturer is still vacant.
Same is the case with GHSS Utterbehani where the post of main subject English has been replaced by Mathematics and in HSS Rajpur, Zoology and IT posts were substituted with Geography and Mathematics, he added.
Expressing serious concern over these adjustments, Lok Sevak sought to know that in such circumstances how the parents and their wards would be attracted towards the Government Schools. In such a situation, students would be forced to shift from Public Education Sector to Private one, he added.
The Forum member appealed all stakeholders of the department to reconsider the appointment in the interest of the large section of the society i. e. students in particular and for the betterment and upliftment of the department in general.
Other who spoke in the meeting included Dinesh K  Sangra, Rajeev Sharma, Zakir Hussain, Renu Devi, Manjeet Kour, Shivraj Singh, Sohan Lal, Sarita Rajput, Balwant Raj and  Kuldeep Dogra.
