Plea to Finance Minister

Sir,
This has a reference to DE news item ‘Govt to pay part of salary in cash” DE Nov 20. It is a welcome step on the part of Govt to understand day to day cash crunch related problems of Lower Grade employees due to demonetization. As a matter of fact an employee has to attend office daily so he can neither stand in long queues outside ATM nor he can  present himself for money exchange at a Bank.
In this connection it is reminded to Finance Minister that  there are large number of permanent Govt employees under NPS Scheme whose salary has not been drawn for the last nearly one year due to non-release of Govt grants for NPS. It is requested that the NPS Matching Share Grant be released immediately in favour of all departments during this period of crises.
In addition concerned Deputy Commissioners be requested to direct all DDOs to ensure that Service Books of all newly appointed employees are prepared if their verification and other facilities are over but pending that this Govt order should be made applicable to NPS employees also because they are also facing same problems practically even more than regular salary employees. Hope Finance Minister will issue favourable orders for  NPS employees.
Yours etc…
