This is to draw the attention of the Chief Engineer PDD, Jammu towards frequent tripping down of electric transformer in Swarn Vihar, Bantalab. The electric transformer installed near Shiv Mandir caters to a huge population in the colony. The low capacity transformer does not bear the excess load which it experiences during hot and humid days.
The transformer got damaged a month earlier and was a replaced by an old one. This too trips down off and on causing immense inconvenience to residents.
It broke down again only some days back. It was repaired only after locals protested. The engineers who repaired it cautioned the residents that being old, it can’t bear so much of load.
In this context, it is requested that two new transformer be installed in the area, so that load gets divided, and people do not have to suffer these cuts on daily basis. Moroever, some house holds have not been e-metered in the area yet. It should be ensured that every house hold has a e-meter installed. Besides, power checking squads be constituted who could keep a watch on power thieves.
Hope, the problem is addressed at the earliest.
