JAMMU, Dec 28: Dugra Nagar Welfare Committee (DNWC) has appealed the authorities of SRTC to immediately start bus service from Indira Chowk to Durga Nagar via Bantalab.
In a meeting of the committee held today under the chairmanship of its president, Roshon Lal Raina, the speakers said that despite the order issued by Administrative Department vide letter No TR-3 /SRTC/2017 dated 4-07-2017 for running a bus service from Indira Chowk to Durga Nagar via Bantalab but till date the bus is not running.
They said that when bus service was stopped, they approached Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Transport Department for restarting matador service to Durga Nagar but despite directions issued to RTO Jammu, bus service is not running.
The committee members appealed the Commissioner/Secretary, Transport Department to look into the problem and mitigate the sufferings of about 20000 people residing in the locality.
