The Jammu city is witnessing rapid expansion both vertical and horizontal these days. One can say with surety that the city is undergoing huge ‘change in landscape.
New colonies are emerging on the outskits of the City. Malls, flyovers, buildings and other structures are mushrooming throughout the city limits.
Keeping its future needs in view, it is quite imperative that the city is planned scentifically. It should be planned in a manner where there is no scope for unauthorised colonies or structures. These unauthorised colonies become a headaches not only for people themselves but also for the civic authorities.
The City planners should plan the city where people have civic facilities. The City should have numerous parking slots for accommodating huge number of vehicles. The suggestions put by the Corporator should be given due consideration so that the city grows beautifully and scientifically.
