JAMMU, Jan 28:Making a scathing attack on Congress, national general secretary  (Org) BJP, Ram Lal today said that Congress culture has given this nation nothing except corruption, dynastic rule, casteism and communal politics and this is the reason that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has given slogan of “Congress Mukt Bharat”.
Ram Lal, who was the chief guest during the one day Shakti Kendra, Parmukh Sammelan organised by the Party here today, in his address, said Modi wants to rid India of Congress culture which represents these evils. The process has already started during last four years and today Congress has been ousted of power in 19 States by BJP.
He said that BJP has emerged the largest party of the world and in the recent Gujarat elections though the number of its seats decreased than last Assembly polls, still the Party got 49.50 percent votes.  Click here to watch video
Predicting a complete rout for Congress in future, he said it will lose the elections in Karnataka also and the party will be confined to the smaller States having four to five Lok Sabha seats only.
Highlighting the polices and programmes of Modi led Government at Centre, he said Modi is such a leader in whom the people of this country have a lot of faith and trust. “The people of this country believe that Modi did not won for himself but for 125 crore Indians’’, he added.
The BJP national general secretary, while terming Modi a leader of the masses, said that his slogan “Sab Ka Saath Sabka Vikas’’ is based on his commitment for welfare of all people irrespective of their religion, region, caste and creed. During his tenure as Prime Minister India’s prestige has increased at global level, he added.
Lambasting All India Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, he said the Congress chief spends much time abroad and when BJP chief, Amit Shah was asked that why does not he visit abroad, his reply was that it is the task of Government to make foreign trip and “I am the Party chief and have to work in the country’’, he added quoting Shah.
Terming Prime Minister a great and dynamic leader, he said Modi is an asset for the nation who has always given credit to victory of party in elections to the hard work of its dedicated workers.
Ram Lal said it is because of the policies of Modi Government that India’s prestige has increased at world level during last three and half years. He said “the morale of the security forces is high and today if one bullet is fired from across our forces retaliate with shells”.
He said the endeavor of Modi Government is betterment of the poor and downtrodden and all policies and programmes are framed by present Government for their welfare. He added that the banks have been given directives by this Government to make SCs and STs entrepreneurs as Modi Government has identified itself with the poor.
He termed the One Rank One Pension (OROP) a great decision of this Government and said the Modi Government is working on broad based policy programmes and strategy.
Highlighting the role of Shakti Kendras and booth level workers, he said that winning a booth means victory in elections. Shakti Kendrtra elections were held in every State, he added.
The BJP leader said it is the duty of Shakti Kendra heads to win every booth. The Shakti Kendras are the focal point of Party’s victory and they are answerable to people, he added.
Highlighting the contribution of BJP, he said party activists are laying down their lives in different states for national unity and integrity and fighting the divisive forces. About 200 party activists were killed in different States for this cause so far, he added.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today said  that  concerns expressed by security forces had forced the BJP to give up its plan for providing plots of land at safer places to the border residents in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Security forces raised a genuine concern that it will leave border hamlets empty. We raised this demand for many years, but when the time came, we have to shun the plan,” Singh, the Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office, said.
Addressing the ‘Shakti Kendra Pramukh Sammelan’ of the party here, he said a list of such beneficiaries was still lying in the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Kathua as the BJP had started the process to provide the plots.
“The concern of security forces was genuine…Our perception was based on emotions. We respect the security forces and if they had any concern, it is our concern as well,” he said adding that they suggested chalking out alternative plans for the safety of the people.
He said the Centre had promptly sanctioned construction of over  14,400 underground bunkers at a cost of Rs 415.73 crore for the safety of people living along the LoC and the IB in Jammu division.
“Pakistani firing on the borders is going on for decades and people are questioning where the bunkers had gone. Nothing was done for the people of the border residents for the last 70 years and it is BJP which has sanctioned the bunkers and transferred the amount to the State Government,” he said.
He lauded the response of the State administration to the intense shelling.
He asked party activists to prepare for the next year’s general elections. “We are living in the times of facts and figures and also there is an ever increasing need to counter the negative propaganda of  the opposition promptly,” he said.
Terming elections as the festival of democracy, he urged all to take the public welfare schemes of the Modi Government to the masses.
Dr Jitendra Singh said BJP has a great history which no other political party in the country has. He said the history of Congress started with freedom movement and culminated with the independence of the country.
He said the BJP’s history started from the soil of J&K after the party came into existence in the shape of Jana Sangh. The party gave a sacrifice in the shape of its towering leader, Dr Shayama Parasad Mookerjee on the soil of J&K and people of country have lot of expectations from Jammu region. Dr Mookerjee started struggle from this region along with Pt Prem Nath Dogra, he added.
Highlighting the policy programmes of Modi Government, he said in last four years many policies and programs were framed while  referring to Jan Dhan Yojna , Start Up, Mudra Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna which all were centric to poor, he added.
He, while referring to the criticism by opposition parties, said it hurts most when opposition is made from within party. Maintaining that it is evidence based era, Dr Jitendra Singh said the partymen have to reply every thing with evidence.
Highlighting the achievements of the Government, he said construction of Radio Station at Udhampur, Keriyan Gandyal bridge and Bio-Tech park in Kathua, conservation of river Dewika, sanctioning of Chatter Gala Tunnel etc are some major projects to name, he added.
Maintaining that contesting elections in future will be of technology and event management based, he said campaigning will be outsourced now and party cadres have to concentrate on the same from today. He said the youth is the key voter in present time as they form the 70 percent of the population so party activists have to concentrate on youth.
Later talking to media persons, Dr Jitendra Singh while replying to a question about killing of two civilians in Valley yesterday, said the killing of innocent people is condemnable from all sides but the restraint is also required against attacks on army.
He said the security forces whom we are indebted a lot should not be driven to the wall and the parents, elders as well as civil society should also ask their children to maintain restraint and not attack the security forces. There should be no interference in the work of security forces by any body and this way the people should not also put their own life in to risk, he added.
On the holding of Panchyat elections in the State, Dr Jitendra Singh said BJP is ever ready for polls whether it is Panchayat or any other election.
Addressing the Sammelan Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh said that activists are back bone of the party. He said the way the Army remains alert on borders both in peace and war to protect us, the same way the party activists are working for the party 24×7.
This is the reason that BJP emerges victorious in every election, he added.
He said today entire world is looking towards BJP. He urged party activists to take the achievements of the party and Government to people.
He lambasted those forces who tried to create a division on the caste and communal lines among people and alleged that these forces opposed to return of Pandits by making a hue and cry that demography is being changed.
Accusing opposition of misleading people, the Deputy CM said the party cadre should counter them forcefully.
Reiterating his party’s commitment on holding of Panchayat elections, he said first Panchayat then Local Body elections will be held in the State.
Party State president Sat Sharma highlighted the role of Shakti Kendras and party activities. Others who spoke included, MPS Jugal Kishroe Sharma and Shamsher Singh Manhas,  BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul, Jaidev Rajwal of IT Cell and Dr Narinder Singh, general secretary. The stage was managed by Pawan Khajuria general secretary of the party. Those present on the dais included Ministers Chander Parkash Ganga, Bali Bhagat, Shyam Choudhary, A G Kohli, Sunil Sharma, Priya Sethi, MLC Ashok Khajuria and party generals secretary, Harinder Gupta.
