JAMMU, May 24: A poetic symposium was organized by Pir Panchal at Radio Sharda today under the chairmanship of its president Ramesh Hangloo.
The poets who recited their poems included A K Naaz, Moti Lal Masroof, Sehar Ganderbali, Ashok Gawhar, Som Nath Sanam and Rattan Lal Rattan.
Addressing the function Ramesh Hangloo said that Sharda Radio has taken up an initiative to encourage poetic symposiums and other group discussions to promote the Kashmiri language among the younger generations of the community and bring them closer to their roots.
He assured all support and help by Pir Panchal to the poets and other artists interested in keeping their culture and traditions alive despite being in exile.
