SAMBA, June 5: An elderly pilgrim from Maharashtra was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle near Chichi Mata temple at Samba today.
The deceased was identified as Chand Dev Suryavansh (70), a resident of Maharashtra. He was crossing the road when a speeding vehicle hit him resulting into his on the spot death.
Later, Police shifted the body to District Hospital Samba for postmortem and other legal formalities.
