JAMMU, Feb 11: J&K PHE ITI Trained Workers Union held a protest demonstration against the Government for not taking steps towards their regularization.
Hundreds of PHE ITI trained workers led by president of the union Tanveer Hussain assembled outside Divisional Commissioner Office at Panama Chowk and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
Addressing the gathering, Hussain alleged that the Government is not taking serious steps towards their regularization compelling them to come on road and hold massive protest.
Government engaged the ITI trained workers but till date failed to frame a policy for their regularization, he alleged.
“If the Government failed to frame regularization policy for our regularization, then we will launch protest at tehsil and district levels across the State and for any inconvenience, the Government will be responsible”, he warned.
The protestors urged the Government to look into the matter seriously and redress the demands at the earliest.
Among others present were Subash Chander, Deepak Gupta, Chandan Singh, Munish Abrol, Manjeet Singh, Devinder Pal Singh, Rapin Singh, Manohar Lal, Sumit, Abid, Dushant, Kuldip Choudhary, etc
