SRINAGAR, Dec 11: Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department appointed under SRO-43 have been working without salaries for the last more than one year.
“Non-payment of salary for the last 13 months has compelled us to take huge amount of debt,” said the PHE employees from Sopore, adding, due to delay in forwarding salary allotment as per rules which were not falling under new recruitment policy to the department by the Chief Engineer, these nine employees have been left without salary.
“We refused to take Rs 3000 from the department as we have been selected on the basis of SRO-143 cases, where our salary should be more than 10 thousand and not as per new recruitment policy,” they said.
They appealed to the concerned minister to release their salary immediately to save their families from financial crisis.
