JAMMU, Jan 5: A noted social worker of Billawar and national award winner Naraian Dutt Shripathi has taken voluntary retirement from Public Health Engineering Department to devout his entire time for the cause of down trodden people of his area.
Hailing from village Lakhri of Billawar Shripathi took this decision when all the Government employees were agitating for enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 60 years.
A grand programme was organized at village Lakhri where the people assembled in a large number to greet the son of soil who preferred to attain retirement beforehand to serve the people.
A large cavalcade of vehicles accompanied Shripathi from PHE office Kathua to his village.
