NYC demands delimitation commission before elections

JAMMU, Jan 5: Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC), youth wing of NCP today demanded setting up of delimitation commission in the State before forthcoming elections.
Addressing a press conference here today, NYC president, Gourav Kapoor demanded setting up of delimitation commission immediately so that the forthcoming elections will be held according to population, area and topography of the State.
He demanded strengthening of State Accountability Commission (SAC), State Women Commission and Panchayati Raj Institution by issuing ordinances wherever required. He also demanded passage of Lokpal Bill, which was passed in the Parliament recently.
On the occasion, Mithun Sharma was appointment as block President Jammu South.
Among others present were Tariq Nar, general secretary, Manu Mahajan, provincial president, RC Bali, district president and Manik Uppal, president, Nationalist Student Congress.
