UDHAMPUR, May 20: A PHE employees and an Army jawan died when an Alto car, in which they were traveling, rolled down from the Dudher bridge at Dhar road Udhampur.
Identity of the deceased was established as Parkash (50) son of Fair Chand and Rajinder Kumar alias Raju (35) son of Munshi Ram. Parkash was a PHE employee while Rajinder Kumar was an Army jawan. Both of them were resident of Manwal.
The accident took place this evening when their Alto car, bearing registration number JK02AT-9220 and on way from Roun Domail to Manwal, went out of control and slipped into nullah from Dudher bridge.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist and his pillion rider were critically injured when their bike was hit by an unidentified truck near Chenani Morh, Dhar road, late last night. The injured, identified as Lekh Raj son of Darshan Chand of Ritti Udhampur and Ashok Kumar son of Loki Ram of Barta Udhampur, have been admitted in the District hospital for treatment.
