JAMMU, Dec 13: Continuing its drive against illegal water connections at commercial establishments/units, a team of PHE Department headed by Executive Engineer, PHE Division-I, J.K. Sharma today disconnected unregistered commercial water connections in old Jammu city.
The team visited Bakshi Nagar, Patoli, Sarwal, New Plot, Janipur and other parts of PHE Division-I and disconnected illegal connections. Notices were also issued to some of the business establishments in order to regularize their unauthorized water connections.
The objective of the drive is to implement Water Regularity Authority Act at grass root level to achieve the set revenue targets and reduce the scale of wastage.
