Performance of Government

Sir,
Apropos news item, ‘Jan Kalian Parv to make one  year” DE May 22, 2015, I have to say that it is not an easy task to assess the achievements of the Governments in days or even in one year. The period of 100 days or one year is too small to assess the performance of the Government. The assessment and performance is just impossible especially in coalition Government. In spite of having a common minimum programme each coalition partner tries to have upper hand in solving the problems of the people on provincial level. The problem of AIIMS and artificial lake in Jammu is a living example in this regard. I think  either the Government boasts of its achievement to make the people understand about their concerns and promises made to them during election days or has no confidence in going ahead with the task  or assigned to it by people. If the electorate are satisfied with the working of Government or its performance there is no need to show off or exhibit the same to hoodwink the people because it has rightly been  said, ‘the taste of pudding is in eating thereof.’
Yours etc…
