People urged to foil attempts of vitiating atmosphere

JAMMU, Feb 17: Expressing serious concern over attempts of some mischief mongers to vitiate the atmosphere of traditional harmony in the State, several organizations have appealed people to extend full cooperation to identify and isolate such elements.
The Chief spokesperson of the JKPCC, Ravinder Sharma, while extending full support and cooperation to the Governor Administration for maintaining peace and communal harmony, appealed on behalf of entire rank and file of the Congress Party to the people of all sections not to allow nefarious designs of the enemies to succeed by defeating the sinister designs of disturbing the religious harmony. He asked the Government to take stern action against any such mischievous elements who indulges in any kind of provocative actions to hurt the patriotic sentiments to disturb the peace and religious harmony.
While condemning the Pulwama terror attack and expressing grief over the martyrdom of CRPM men, NSUI national president Neeraj Kundan said that people need to remain alert from divisive force, which were trying to disturb the communal harmony by targeting innocent students from J&K.
Informing that NSUI has constituted a central coordination committee with Ankit Dedha (9999938784), Surbhi Dwivedi (9987808167), Naved Khan (7905177343) and Sunny Mehta (9872960887) as members, Neeraj Kundan said that if any J&K student in any part of the country faces any problem, he may contact the committee, which will coordinate with the respective State unit to provide all possible help to them.
Jammu and Kashmir Socio Economic Coordination Committee (JKSECC) has appealed the President of India to ensure safety and security of Kashmiris currently living, in different parts of India in connection with trade, travel and studies.
In a meeting of JKSECC, the members also demanded a high level judicial probe into the incidents of arson in Jammu since Thursday as the law enforcing agencies allegedly acted as mute spectators during violence. JKSECC urged the Governor to depute his officials to remain stationed in all affected States for extending help to scared Kashmiris and facilitate desired students and others in their return to the Valley till the situation was brought to normal.
All India Students Federation (AISF) State Council, Jammu & Kashmir, has also condemned the incidents of violence against Kashmiri students across various educational institutions in the country in the aftermath of terrorist attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama.
AISF appealed to different political parties of the country, civil society and media to use their influences to maintain harmony and peace instead of stirring hatred amongst the people. “We also request the political leadership of the country that at this crucial juncture, they must not allow the disruptive and divisive elements to divide the communities under the garb of this tragedy, for their petty political objectives,” the AISF added.
