UDHAMPUR, Sept 18: Thousands of inhabitants of village Ghordi and adjoining areas are suffering because of worst condition of the road for last three months, following landslides and heavy rains, which have created big pits here and there on the road.
Around 35 thousand villagers of Choki, Jandror, Nala Malian, Nala Ghoran, Birnu, Choka, Katwalta, and Sala use this road from Ghordi to Ramnagar, which is only surface link for them to tehsil headquarters.
Alleging no action by the administration of PWD and PMGSY to repair the road, locals of village Ghordi and adjoining areas also held a protest demonstration today and raised slogans against the district administration, PWD, PMGSY.
They threatened to gherao the offices of PWD, PMGSY and district administration if the repair work is not started immediately.
