JAMMU, June 11: People from Morha Bachhai in Surankote held protest after a tractor trolley driver died while being chased by Traffic cops near Dandak bridge in Poonch.
The tractor was without registration number. As the Traffic Policemen on the highway, noticed the tractor without number, they gave signal to stop. The driver sped away and the cops started chasing. The driver later lost control and it over turned. The driver identified as Mohd Liaqat, son of Mohd Latief, resident of Morha Bachhai was killed on the spot. Later, the locals when came to know about it, they blocked Jammu-Poonch highway this evening and started protest against the Traffic police. The raised barricades and demanded action against the traffic cops. Later, SDPO Surankote went there and cleared the highway.
