POONCH, Sept 6: The people from Nakka Majari and Nad areas of Harni in Mendhar Sub Division held protest demonstration against the R&B authorities for the bad condition of Harni-Nad road.
The people from these areas led by local former Panchayat members assembled in nakka Majari area and held protest demonstration for about two hours. They raised slogans against R&B authorities Mendhar and Poonch and also Chief Engineer R&B, Jammu. They alleged that the condition of this 7 kms road has gone from bad to worst and the concerned agency has failed to initiate repair work.
They said that mini-bus and Tata Sumo operators avoid to ply their vehicles on this road and general public is badly suffering. They sought immediate intervention of DC Poonch and SDM Mendhar. Later with the intervention of SHO and Naib Tehildar concerned, the people lifted protest dharna and suspended protest.
