UDHAMPUR, Apr 5: The residents of village Pattna in Ward Number 1 of tehsil Chenani held protest against PHE Department.
The locals alleged that there is no regular supply of drinking water for the past over one week and they are now totally depended on natural sources, which is not safe to drink.
They added that maximum number of people became victims of diarrhea after drinking the muddy water of natural sources.
“We took up the matter with concerned authorities, but no action has been taken”, they said and warned to protest in aggressive manner if regular water supply is not restored in their area.
Among others present were Mohammad Sabar, Mohammad Amin, Rukshana, Halim, Mohammad Akhtar, Shiv Chand, Kalasho Devi, Kuldeep Chand, Gouri Lal, Vijay Kumar, etc.
