REASI, July 23: The people from remote Malikote area of tehsil Mahore held protest against the change in the survey of the link road to the village by the R&B agency.
A large number of villagers led by Sarpanch and other Panchayat members of Malikote area came out on the road and registered their strong protest. They alleged that due to the interference of some politicians, the agency has changed the survey of this road leading to Manjikote from Amosan. They pointed out that population of remote Malikote area has been left aside as the road is now going down through the jungle away from the village which earlier was supposed to be connected through this link road. They said some influential people for their personal grudge have managed to change the survey of the road, causing hardships to the people of this village and surrounding half a dozen hamlets.
The people sought immediate intervention of DC Reasi, Chief Engineer R&B and the Minister of State for R&B Javed Dar into the matter.
