UDHAMPUR, June 23: Up in arms against CAPD for not making smooth supply of ration in the area, locals of Panchayat Damnote and Lalli held a protest demonstration and blocked the Udhampur- Panchari road.
Some inhabitants of other areas also joined the protesting people, who raised slogans against the CAPD Department and disrupted vehicular movement for some time.
The protesting people alleged that there was no proper supply and distribution in the area by CAPD and they keep on waiting for days together to receive the ration.
“The people are suffering because of irregular supply of ration as well as wrong distribution system,” they said and demanded regular supply as well as proper distribution system.
Citing another example of non-seriousness of the Government towards plights of people of these areas, the protesters also drew attention of the authorities towards the building of Government Primary School Duga-Laid, village Lalli, which was damaged in 2014 floods and has been lying closed since then.
