People protest at Govindsar Railway track

KATHUA, Nov 30: The irate inhabitants of Govindsar near here blocked the alternative track of goods train at Govindsar in protest against the unloading of cement there which has created health hazards in the area.
The protesters squatted on the railway track from 5pm and did not allow the unloading of the cement from the goods train demanding the same be shifted to some non residential area so that the people in Govindsar and adjoining villages are saved from health hazards.
They said despite the ban of State High Court the Railway authorities are unloading cement on the track near residential area.
Though Railway and GRP authorities visited the spot to pacify the protestors they refused to budge and continued dharna till late night.
