Opposition frustrated with pace of development: Tak

KISHTWAR, Nov 30: Criticizing National Conference and Congress for the mess they plunged the State into during their six years of misrule, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) MLC, Firdous Tak, today said that pace of development works and administrative reforms have frustrated opposition parties.
The legislator conducted a day-long tour of market areas and localities of Kishtwar town to have on the spot assessment of public grievances. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development, X-Ens of RDD, R&B, PDD, officials from Municipality, Health and others.
The legislator visited various areas including Hospital Road, Main Road of Bus Stand, Jamia Market, Gudhali Chowk and Gudhali Market along with the team of officials.
Interacting with the traders and local inhabitants, Tak said that the present Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to reach out to the common masses for redressal of their grievances.
He said that Ladli Beti and Asra Schemes introduced by the Government from this financial year are historic decisions and will go a long way to bring gender equality. He said that Kishtwar is one of the only three districts chosen for Ladli Beti scheme which speaks of commitment of the Chief Minister towards this hilly district.
The legislator said that road construction and upgradation work worth crores were under execution and in pipeline for Chenab Valley which will improve road connectivity in near future.
Hitting out at the opposition parties for instigating general masses by launching a propaganda campaign, Tak said that National Conference and Congress leadership was frustrated with the pace of developmental work the present dispensation has carried in a short span.
Meanwhile, he issued on the spot instructions for shifting of main transformer outside Jamia Masjid, realignment of electric polls, construction of drain along Main Road and construction of lanes and drains.
He asked the administration to be responsive and prompt so as to address the general grievances of common people.
