MENDHAR, Nov 12: The people from Pathana Teer Top area in Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch held protest demonstration outside the office of CAPD in the town here today.
The people hailing from this area assembled outside the office of Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) at around 10 am and held protest up to 1 pm. They alleged that BPL lists prepared recently were not fair and majority of the members included were the relatives and the favourites of Sarpanch and Naib Sarpanch of the area. They alleged that many genuine poor people have been let off.
These people demanded that lists be canceled and reviewed again so that genuine families could be included. Later, senior officials from the Sub-Division assured to look into the matter and review the lists if needed.
