UDHAMPUR, Oct 2: Aggrieved over supply of polluted drinking water, resident of Ward number 13-14 today protested against Jal Shakti Department (PHE) and District Administration Udhampur.
Some locals of adjoining areas also joined the protest and raised slogans against the PHE authorities. The protesting people were addressed by Anil Pachayala, Ashok Kumar, Manoj Kumar and Abdul Qauom, who said that supply of polluted water was causing waterborne diseases among people.
“Despite the matter was repeatedly brought into the notice of concerned PHE authorities, no action was taken,” they added and threatened to gherao the office of Jal Shakti Department.
