People protest against shortage of doctors at Reasi hospital

REASI, Apr 27: Attendants  of several patients  admitted  at the District Hospital  Reasi, today held a strong protest against shortage of doctors.
The protesting attendants were up in arms against referring even stable  patients to Jammu because of non-availability of doctors at the Reasi hospital.
They raised slogans against the State Government and the Health Department for their failure to ensure deployment of doctors and specialists in the hospital.
“State government has failed to fill-up the posts of various specialist doctors in the District Hospital Reasi resulting the people of different areas of the district,  like Pouni, Arnas, Mahore, Dharmari, Thurru, Bakal, Kouri facing problems,” they said.
The protesters alleged that whenever they come  for treatment of even minor problems,  they were referred to Jammu.
Later on DDC Reasi reached the spot and pacified the protesters by assuring them of highlighting this issue at higher level.
