DODA, Jan 15: The residents held protest against PMGSY for bad condition of under construction road from Tehsil Headquarters Chiralla to Sunarthawa village in the district.
While showing concern over the deplorable condition of Chiralla-Sunarthawa road, the local residents of Tehsil Chiralla have appealed to the authorities to initiate construction of the road between Chiralla to Sunarthawa at the earliest.
The residents said that the road is in worst condition since decades and has turned accidental prone, adding that the Government has failed to take any initiative for the maintenance of this road.
They alleged that the concerned department PMGSY and contactor of this road didnot do his job honestly and condition of the road is deteriorating day-by-day.
The locals informed that this road is lifeline for more than 25000 people of Tehsil Chiralla and hundreds of vehicles both commercial and private pass through this road on daily basis.
The protest was led by Ashok Khajuria, who while speaking demanded immediate intervention of authorities to get this road completed in all respects, so that the public of Chiralla can travel easily.
“If the authorities failed to take the decision of repairing the road in the shortest possible time, we will block the national highway at Suegowadi in protest against authorities”, they warned.
