JAMMU, Aug 30: To save the environment various programmes of Parakriti Vandan (protection of environment)were organized in both the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in which thousands of people took part and worshiped the plants and trees. People from all walks of life participated in the programme in both the UTs. They worshiped the plants in and around their homes by tying the sacred thread around them and offering Tilak amid pronouncing Omkar three times. After that they circumambulated the plants the plants thrice and lit the Diya. They also took a solemn oath to save the nature on the occasion.
This programme was organized on the invocation of Hindu Adhyatmik Seva Foundation and Paryavaran Sanrankashan Activity. The Paryavaran Sanrankshan Activity made this programme successful in both the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Main attraction of the programme was the message of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. Sant Subhash Shastri also gave his message to the people on Prakriti Vandan from Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr.Bhagwat on this occasion delivering his message through social media said, “ It is our duty to save the nature as nature is part of our day today life,. As our the parts of our body take energy from our body in the same way we are related to nature we are taking energy from nature so we are bound to save the nature”, he added.
Dr. Bhagwat further said, “This programme of nature beauty is not a recreational, but to save the mother nature which is nurturing us,. People should keep in mind that we want to save the environment, because for the last 300 years we have damaged the nature in big way, now it will take more than two hundred to three hundred years to stablise the environment”, he added.
Paryavaran Sanrakshan activity Jammu Kashmir Prant Sanyojak, Kuldeep Sharma said that, In Hindu religion Agni is god of Fire. From Vedic times Fire is sacred. In Hindu religion during marriages, Yaga and Havan Gods are worshiped by fire. In Vedas Sun is worshiped as soul of the universe, it shines on more than half part of the universe. In our religious books plants, flowers and fruits have been given importance. He disclosed that people from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh participated wholeheartedly in this programme of Prakriti Vandan and took pledge for the conservation of environment.
RSS Prant Pracharak Suresh Ji also participated in one of the such programmes in Jammu along with other social activists and performed special pooja for protection of environment.
