UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: Senior Congress leader and former MLC Vikramaditya Singh today said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are ready for a change as they are fed up with false promises made by BJP.
“The Congress Party will emerge as a strong political force in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections,” he said and urged party workers to put aside differences and join hands in strengthening the Party cadre at the grassroot level.
The former MLC was addressing delegates during Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) meetings held in Udhampur and Chenani as part of a series of Assembly segment meetings to create awareness amongst its workers.
He highlighted the contributions of the Congress Party in the Udhampur-Doda region. He also apprised workers of the AICC Shakti initiative, a direct link and communication between voters and the Congress Party.

Local leadership of Udhampur alleged that the region has seen little development in the past 5 years and remained mostly neglected in every front.
Also present at Chenani meeting were KC Bhagat, Navneet Thakur, Abhay Pratap, Gopal Mangotra, DN Prasher, Narinder Sharma and many others while KC Bhagat, Brij Mohan Sharma, Ashwini Khajuria, Vijay Manhas, Shashi Manhas, Shakeel Shah and others were present in Udhampur meeting.
