*Guv’s administration must order probe

POONCH, May 18: Former minister and senior PDP leader Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan has said that self styled company, Hablas, duped innocent public of Mendhar amounting to over Rs 300 crores under the nose of police and district administration.
Talking to media persons at Mendhar today Khan said the company operated in Mendhar town and its local executives got the public money invested with the assurance of doubling the money after 20 days or month as per their formulated policy. Later they went underground with innocent people’s hard earned money. But no action has been taken by police or district administration.
He said some of the persons who were duped by this fraudulent company have approached police and also narrated the whole story of doubling of money. They cheated youngsters, widows, agriculturist, business class, Saudi Arabia return and foreign labours money in exchange of profit of doubling. The whole scandal was running in the nearby of town Mendhar and locals including some fame personalities of Mendhar were involved in luring innocent public in this business .
It was daily routine that money in lakhs or crores was being collected, where it was deposited, no one had the idea about it. It’s seems that internal agency or Hawala money transaction was being run in the district which smells of alleged involvement of some bank employees. People said that earlier police officers had taken suo motto action of this scandal and later they went silence due to the reason best known to them.
Rafiq Khan, demanded that Government should initiate high level probe into the matter and fix responsibility on the district level police and civil officers.
Khan said it was also later known that a political leader came out for protection of Hablas Company cheaters, who duped Mendhar public of money worth over 300 crores. He was aware of the kingpin and other people behind this scandal.
He further stated that such scandals and cheaters are not easily traceable by police as earlier occasions also several cases took place and they all went underground and police also after assurance to public went silent.
Former Minister urged upon the Governor Satya Pal Malik for handing over this scandal to Crime Branch, headed by SP Rank officer to investigate the case and help in returning the public money by attaching the cheaters’ property who were involved in this scandal.
