JAMMU, July 27: J&K Pensioners Association Jammu has served an ultimatum of one month to the State Government over their demands and threatened stir if their issues are not addressed.
A meeting of the Association’s Core Committee was held under the chairmanship of Govind Ram Sharma, here today wherein the pensioners strongly condemned the State Government for its alleged dilly-dallying tactics over their demands.
The Association demands included merger of 50 percent DA in basic pay, release of third installment of 6th Pay Commission arrear, increase in Mediclaim etc.
Those who attended the meeting, included N D Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, Swarn Singh, Ram Lal Sharma, S R Sharma, Dessa Singh, O P Gupta, M L Basotra, Kamal Bhardwaj and others.
