Pensioners’ plea to Finance Minister

Sir,
I, on behalf of the State Government employees and pensioners, appeal to the Finance Minister to look into all the genuine demands of the employees and pensioners without any bias and prejudice. The pensioners and employees  are demanding for the release of 10% DA due from January, 2014 along with the payment of the arrears of the 6th Pay Commission i.e 4th & 5th instalments, which are yet to be paid, in one go. They have been impressing upon the Government to enhance their Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, because the Present Medical Allowance which they are getting is quite inadequate to meet out the expenses in connection with the Purchase of their monthly medicines.
The problem of the daily wagers, working in all the Government departments, is very grave. It needs to be solved on the humanitarian ground. All the daily wagers, who are eligible for their respective posts, should be regularized at the earliest.
The anomalies in the existing pay scale of the clerical staff should also be removed by doing justice, which they deserve so well.
The Government had promised to the people that it will solve all the main problems and also accede to the genuine demands of the employees and pensioners. I am sorry to say that the concerned authorities seem to be quite indifferent to the problems of their people.
The Government has betrayed its employees and pensioners by breaking its promises time and again.
Yours etc…
