JAMMU, Mar 25: J&K Pensions Association, Jammu, has demanded parity between the pre and post January 1, 2006 pensioners in respect of their pensionery benefits.
The demand was raised during a meeting of the Association, held under the chairmanship of Govind Ram Sharma.
The meet strongly condemned the State Government for its alleged dilly dallying tactics to deprive the pensioners of their genuine rights.
Highlighting several other demands, such as enhancement of the Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, modification in State Pension Rules for identification before Treasury Officer and merger of 50 percent DA in pay/pension, etc, the Association announced to organize a protest march in last week of next month at Rani Park Jammu.
The meeting was addressed by N D Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, Swarn Singh, Ram Lal Sharma, Dessa Singh, O P Gupta, M L Basotra, Kamal Bhardwaj, S L Gandotra, Jagdish Raj Sharma, R L Raina, O P Sharma, M L Bhagat, D C Sharma, T N Tickoo, B S Baloria, K L Dogra, B R Choudhary, Tara Chand and Nirmal Singh.
